Acupuncture for Allergies & Sinusitis

Symptoms of a runny nose, sneezing, watery itchy eyes, pain in the face, discolored phlegm, and a chronically sore throat from postnasal drip are among the many symptoms that patients experience.

Acupuncture is incredibly effective for symptoms of seasonal allergies and chronic sinusitis.

Performing acupuncture along certain meridians in the face, arms, hands, and legs can reduce the symptoms often immediately. Very often patients will experience relief within just minutes on the table. Extremely thin needles are inserted into certain acupuncture locations around the cheeks ears nose and eyes, as well as body points. The needles remain in place anywhere between 25 and 40 minutes and most often patient reports that there is a diminishment in symptoms within the first 10 minutes.

Acupuncture naturally acts with an antihistamine affect and a natural nasal decongestant. Most often initially there will be between two and three visits per week perhaps for the first week or two and then as needed. Many patients are able to decrease or stop their allergy medication altogether. Acupuncture is an excellent treatment option for anybody with allergies or sinus problems.
