Marin L. Kokin, L.Ac.
Ms. Kokin’s practice is unique and distinctive. She specializes in infertility and pregnancy as well as orthopedics and pain management. This includes musculoskeletal and gynecological/obstetric pain, pre and post operative rehabilitation, and injury rehabilitation. She also treats many internal medicine conditions such as fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, gynecological conditions, and the side effects from chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Treatments include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, acupressure, myofacial release, Chinese herbal prescriptions, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, stretching exercises, and cold/heat therapy.
Graduated with high honors from Yo San University, Ms. Kokin also has a Master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has interned at various hospitals, including Century City Hospital, West LA Veteran’s Hospital, and the Yo San University Clinic.
Ms. Kokin is a prominent member of the Allied Health Professional Staff and has hospital privileges at Encino Hospital, Providence-Tarzana Medical Center and Sherman Oaks Hospital. She is one of the first acupuncturists in California to receive such an honor. Ms. Kokin has given continuing medical education lectures on pain management and infertility and pregnancy to physicians at hospitals throughout Southern California. Ms. Kokin is a member of the National Guild for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the California State Oriental Medical Association.
Ms. Kokin treats patients in her Calabasas office, where lunchtime and evening appointments are available. She has also received three doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
