A quiet moment can be a useful part of a busy day. In this month’s acupressure spotlight, we are introducing CV15, also called Jiuwei, as a topic to discuss with Marin during your next visit.
Start with individual guidance
Acupressure is not a one-size-fits-all routine. If you are curious about CV15 or another point, ask Marin to explain it, demonstrate an appropriate technique and discuss whether it suits your health history.
Avoid pressing on the breastbone or upper abdomen without professional guidance. An illustration or a short article cannot replace an individual assessment.
A pause without a pressure point
You do not need to use acupressure to make a little room in your day. Sit in a comfortable position, allow your shoulders to soften and breathe naturally for a few moments. There is no need to hold your breath or force a particular pace. Stop if you feel uncomfortable.
Try placing that pause between two activities: after a call, before a meal or before you open the next message. Keep it simple enough to return to when your calendar gets busy.
Bring your questions to your next visit
Marin can help you explore whether acupressure belongs in your care routine. Mention any symptoms, medicines, pregnancy or other health considerations before trying a new technique.
